Pulled the trigger, KEF R300

Hello guys,

After a lot of research, asking in the forum for opinions and a lot of indecision about to what speakers to buy moving from my rtia7. The choices were the def tech mythos sts, the kef q900, polkaudio lsim703, however the kef r line came into the market and into the picture and caught my attention.

So i pulled the trigger on a pair of r300 bookies in gloss piano black:cheesygrin::cheesygrin: as soon as i get them i will post a review. According to stereophile the r700 sound very good, mentioned in an article about the audio doctor.

    New audio purchases just get the juices going ... gotta love it ... congrats .... since your going from floor standers to bookies , do you have some stands for um ??

    i have pangea 28" stands, but feel that when i get the speakers i might have to get some 24" stands. if that is the case i will look into pangea or vti.

    That looks like an interesting design on the 300s (3 way system with aluminum drivers?). Look forward to the review.

    Why did you opt for the bookies instead of the 700s or 900s?

    Nice snag!!! I heard the XQ20 bookies & they were awesome. The new R series is even a more refined model that's replacing the XQ series (never heard them though). I'm loving my Q900's & am very impressed with the whole KEF line. Winners across their whole lineup. Congrats & enjoy!!!

    I felt drawn to them from the first look, the reason i got bookies is that they are easier to bring to my country and budget

    Your passion for the q900 got me to audition the q700 and i loved the mids and highs, very clean, however they seem lacking on the bottom, hence went with the r which is supposed to be a much better line, closer to the blade.
