Mix and Matching Speakers

Hello, I currently have a 5.1 system with:

Center: Tsi Cs10
Sides: RTi A3
Rears: Tsi 200
Sub: PSW111

My system really does rock and I absolutely love it, but I feel there is room for improvement. I would love to get the LsiM's but really can't afford that right now. I'm considering getting the Rti A CS6 for the center channel to match the sides better. Do you think this is worth the investment?

Thank you

Yes, because currently, your center tweeter does not match the tweeter on your right and left speaker. To save some money, look at buying a CSI5. It is identical to the CSIA6, but the CSIA6 is just the updated cabinet design, same drivers and tweeters though. It will be cheaper too. I just sold mine on craigslist for $100. Then if you want to upgrade the rears later, I would go with the RTI4, they're the same speaker as the RTIA1 and will match your RTIA3s perfectly. You can get a pair on ebay for around $100. It's nice to have everything matching.

Thanks for the advice. I actually just thought of another question. Is it possible to wire two speakers in parallel out of the same port. I say this because I was thinking it would be cool to have one center speaker above the TV and the other center speaker below the TV. I think it would work but I may be drawing too much current out of the reciever and risk doing damage. What do you think?

The only way you should run dual centers is if you're running a separate amplifier and you split the preouts from the AVR into two different channels on the amp. I definitely would not try the other way.
