Up for grabs is a 25 dollar gift card to Starbucks or another fast food joint of your choosing. Drawing will be held on Christmas Eve. All you gotta do is give one reason to be a proud American and end it with God Bless the USA!

So many reasons but I will say.... the 2nd amendment. God Bless the USA!

But I agree with SDA1C, donation to the troops would be cool and will do the same.

Living right next to Ft.Lewis, the Stryker folks, means I appreciate every day what freedom means and what it costs. My wife is part of the card and stuff sending to the troops overseas, she is pretty artsy/craftsy. While being an American has taken its hits in the past decade or so I am still proud and will always be proud to call myself an American!! God bless the USA!

I'm proud to be an American in that anybody who tries to change our thoughts on freedom will be allowed to be heard and then turned away.

SOOO not in. I am no longer proud to be an American. We are no longer the land of the free, there are so many restrictions crap I can't even let my kids go play in the yard by themselves because it's considered child abuse. Most of us are not even Brave because we don't have to balls to stand up to the politicians who work for us that are taking our freedoms away. The stuff they are putting in our food, I'm scared of that too (did you know most apple juice you buy has arsenic in it.) We are blind to what the big picture is. Why do we support sports stars who make 1.2 million a week for playing one of the easiest sports while The best hockey players make maybe a million a year, either way it is still too much. Crap they are all making more than those overseas protecting us. The entertainment business itself is out of control. We are making so many undereducated who can't even properly speak our language multimillionaires. Don't get me wrong not all of them are ignorant. And our education system no longer allows for no creativity by the teachers to get kids interested in the subjects. The kids them selves are suffering from lack of creativity as well as general thinking skills. The only thing they are teaching kids any more is to regurgitate information to pass standardized tests. Most kids that are entering college don't even have all the skills they should have mastered. I'm not even going to start on the get fat fast food.:D Sorry for the rant and derail but I think you get my opinion.

    Not in, but nice karma.

AMERICA is unique among the world. Our people colonized not-so-easy country, had to be seriously resourceful, and maintain a serious work ethic, as our lives hinged on that. Our country was a "sink or swim" proposition, which explains our mental toughness, and our drive to be free, and succeed. Anytime you wonder "how" we could possibly do without this handout, or that handout---ask yourself....what would our pioneering forefathers have done? They would have made it happen--because that is what AMERICANS do. It's our resilience, our toughness, our refusal to quit, our ability to fight the good fight--but yet still be kind people in the wake of it all. GOD BLESS THIS COUNTRY.

Dudeinaroom....Politicans don't do anything without "our" OK. Since voter turn-out for president is usually far less than 60%, you literally have 1/3 of the country deciding who will lead the other 2/3rds of the country. VOTE.

I hear you on the presidential election. But are we told about every single bill that goes through the house? I also don't recall the voting polls being open every day to vote on every thing our government proposes. Yes you can call/write/e-mail your representative, but is he going to take the time to consider what you say or is he going to do what big money asks him to do. So sorry for the derail guys.

Steve we need to be careful, we are not supposed to talk politics on the board. I'm not looking for a fight either. I enjoy discussing things like this.
