What's the going rate for a pair of Monitor 7's in good condition?

These have the peerless tweeters in them (or so I think, they're black).

$50 to $125 depending on condition. I'm working on a pair now, maybe 1977 or 1978 versions with peerless tweeters and 2 fuses on the input.

I bought my Monitor 7's in mint condition with the peerless tweets and original polk stands. I paid $150 and never regretted it. I think alot has to do with condition.

Agreed, I'd pay $150 for a set with stands in mint condition all day.

These are the speakers that put Polk Audio on the map and classics in my opinion.

I have not listened to mine much yet, they are disassembled at the moment, but I spent a lot of time with 2 sets of Monitor 10's and after that a Polk Audio fan for life baby!

I miss my 7's and 10's but I had to thin out the speakers at the time.

If they're black might they be Monitor 7 Series 2? those are the only ones I've seen in black similar to my Monitor 5Jr+ Series 2 which are black. Did original 7's come in black? just curious.

I think he was saying the tweets are black in color which would be peerless tweets. If they were silver in color they would be SL2000 tweets.

Thanks guys. I tried to talk the seller down to $75 from $150 and that wasn't flying with him. I decided to save the money and finish my CRS+ project

Good call. I think people are asking way too much for older Polks nowadays, some, not all of course. I once asked a guy (not audio related) how much something was worth. His reply was this "how much would 'you' be willing to pay for it?, anything is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay"...
