Did the Monitor 5s, 5bs, or 5jr use the SL2000 tweeter?

It depends on the model. 5A's use the peerless tweets. Newer models use the SL2000 tweets.Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
Yamaha RX-V2500 System, Carver A753 3 channel amp.
Polk HT system 2: , SRT system with f/x 1,000's rear speakers on 7.1 system currently using Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver, powered by Sunfire Grand Theater amp
Polk Speaker collection: SDA SRS 1.2tl x 2, SRT system, SDA SRS 2 P/B, SDA 2A, SDA 1C Studio, SDA CRS+, Monitor 7B & 4, SRS 3.1tl, RTA 15tl, LS90, LSI 9 -
Series II use the sl2500."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!

ok, thanks...just thinking keeping the tweets the same as my RTA8ts might be a good idea for HT.

The 5A had Peerless or SL-1000, the 5B had SL-2000, and the Monitor 5 series 2 had the SL-2500.
The Monitor 5Jr (ported) had the SL-2000, 5Jr+ (passive radiator) had the SL-2000 and the 5Jr+ Series 2 (passive radiator) had the SL-2500.Stan

Okay, so it sounds like the 5B or 5jr would be a good center match for RTA8Ts. -
Yep, sounds like a plan.
Some find the SL-2000 a little harsh while some like them. If you feel the need to tame your RTA8T a little, you can swap the SL-2000 for the RDO-194 which is a silk dome and very pleasing. In this case, you would want to do the same with the 5B or 5Jr or go with the 5 Series 2 or 5Jr+ series 2. If I decide to keep my 5B's I'll be doing the tweeter swap.

5b's or Jr's would match fine. The 5jr is an inch narrower than the regular 5's.
