Jumped on the Dared 2000A bandwagon and it came in today.Let it warm up a good while and i'm listening to the Allman Brothers Fillmore SACD right now since i know it so well and wow!
If this is just going to get better i don't know how.What a sweet pre.

    Are you running just the stock tubes?? If so just wait till you dig into your stash!!

    I can honestly say I was very shocked at how good they sounded with the stock tubes but after awhile they seem a little harsh but was still shocked..

    Are you guys using a DAC in the chain between the source and Dared or does that have a negative effect on the tube sound?

    Bill Evans was here today. Received the Dared this afternoon. Warmed it up, then Bill and Paul are suddenly in my family room playin Debbie's Waltz. Unbelievable. That drum kit was in my daggum room. Vanguard bliss. Hard to believe it'll get significantly better.

    Thanks to H9 and the rest of you guys for the excellent info. I'm a few steps closer now.

    Mike - I have a few friends that are one off prototyping guys, if I were to approach them about making a ceremonial "BIG RED BUTTON" mock up what features would you like to see ? It may not actually do anything but you would at least be one step closer. :lol:
