Should I upgrade to LSi15s?

I currently have a pair of Onix Rocket 550?s as mains, an LSiC as center and Emotiva ERD-1s as surrounds. I?m using a Yamaha RX-V663 as a pre-amp and an Emotiva UPA-5 as the power amp. I have an Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player. My Hsu STF-2 subwoofer died last year and I?m currently using a Polk 505 for the time being. I plan on replacing that with another Hsu in 2012.

I?m wondering whether replacing the 550?s with LSi15?s would yield much incremental benefit. I?ve not listened to the Polks personally and there are no retailers nearby. But they seem to have a good reputation, would be a better match for my LSiC center, and can be found for very attractive prices now.

I primarily use this system for general TV and movies and secondarily for music only.

I realize the UPA-5 is probably marginal for the LSi15?s (185 watts@ 4 ohms) and if I did get the Polks I would be looking to upgrade the amp as well.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Why not? I have 4 LSi15s in my HT, and I love the result. Works great for both movies and music. However, I have never heard the Onix Rocket 550 speaker, so it might be better.

What type of music do you generally like? The LSi15's shine with classical music and might be worth it for that. I am not familiar with the Onix Rockets for General TV and movies so the LSi15's might be better, but personally I'm not sure I would pay the extra cash for a marginal improvement.
