Trying to decide on a soundbar

I recently upgraded a ten year old tv to a new flat panel plasma and an LG Soundbar. The quality of the Soundbar is OK but I don't seem to get much out of the subwoofer. I'm considering replacing the LG with a Polk 3000 or 6000 soundbar. Really don't want to spend another $100 + if I won't be able to tell much difference between the LG and Polk. Any suggestions?

I had a friend who had some bookshelf polks years ago and I always wanted a set. I bought some polks a few years ago and am glad I made the jump. The products are great, the support and the forum members all great. You will not be disappointed with any polk audio equipment you buy. I would get the 6000 based on drselect's recommendation. What my wife and I first noticed, besides the clarity and crispness at all levels, was that even music and movies we have heard before, with the polks, we heard new instruments and sounds we never heard before. Simply amazing, and great pricing as well. Check Newegg and polk audio's ebay site for deals, to which I have bought all of my polk products. (actually, I won the Atrium 5's on polks site here on the forum) Enjoy your wise decision to go polk.

Welcome to Club Polk Cappy!

IMHO, if you really want to use a SB, buy separates (receiver & SB that is). Never been too crazy about the powered SB.
