    deron, the RTA8TL's actually take the RDO-198 replacement tweeters. Different tweeter specs than the RDo-194.

    I didn't see this thread before...

    Someone should jump on these 10's with RD0's. At 175, that's like 75 bucks for the speakers, which is an excellent deal, especially considering the stands.

    You can really start a nice two channel system with these boys! My 10As are currently in the closet because I'm looking for some more 'space' to get them up. I had them running on a minty Marantz 2265 for awhile and what a match that was!

    These are the speakers that drew me into the vintage Polk sound. They're unbelievable speakers that image like a ****. I heard them paired with the Nad C275BEE amp and the C165BEE pre...it was freaking awesome.

    I am surprised myself that no one has gotten these.
    You will be hard pressed to get a pair in this condition.
    I just don't have any room for them right now and i refuse to store them in my shed.I think that would kill them.

    I have these speakers with the RDO's and I don't think I will ever sell them...Someone should jump on these, even if you have to travel a bit, great speaker to have in the collection.

    I bought these speakers. They are sweet. Tons of bass and great definition on the highs. They cast a wide soundstage and are very unique-sounding - I have Polk Monitor 7s which throw less bass but have better imaging, depending on which receiver I power them with. I had the 10s on a Harman Kardon 3380 and they rocked. Currently they're running on a Sony STR-7065 (for sale btw) which gives them a cool vintage sound - the Sony has a real tight bass and high end which the Monitor 10s rocks with.

    Very happy with the purchase!

    Those are the second mintiest pair of Monitor 10s I've seen. I have a pair with the "Oak" finish that are MINTY SQUARED!!

    I bought a pair - "Mahogany" (or whatever the dark ones were called) finish - of 10Bs (my first pair of Polks!) new in 1988 and got a great price by purchasing two pair together with stands - the second pair for my parents. Got many years of sweet sound out of my pair and thought I'd have them for life. That was until my parents asked me if I wanted their pair! They had been stored in their dry basement, in the original boxes, wrapped in the original plastic, supported by the original styrofoam for more than 20 years!!!!!! These things had probably no more than 50 hours of use on them! Snatched 'em up and passed on my original pair - was one of those sad/happy days.

    brgman, if you still have those RD-0194's I'd be interested in them. Or, did gmjungbluth take them with the Monitor 10s?
