What are the for sure ways to tell them apart? The label on the back says 2.3, but the owner swears they are the TL's?

The tl's will have SL3000 tweeters , and the 2.3's will have what one calls two donut drivers. Do you have any pics??

The SL3000 or RD0-198 tweeters are the way to judge.

APPARENTLY, some non-TL did not come with donut drivers...seems like there was a thread two weeks ago about that.

I will take a few pics in the am. No donuts and I believe the tweeters are SL3000's. Do I have to pull them to see for sure? They are all black. The interface cable has the blade/pin connectors. Also, isn't there a manufacture date on the inside of the binding post plate or the serial numbers?

If the tweeters are the black Laminated (Shiny) and not the silver fish eye then they are TL's.

If they are the silk replacements you would have to take one out to make sure if it is a 194 or 198. The 194 would be for non TL the 198 for TL's/
