This is the place to ask this question. I want to put together a 2 channel only system for my turn table and CD player. My 5.1 system has rtia3's for the front L/R. I want CLEARER sound and more power. The rtia3's are good but I want more. So here is my question. Which is better than the rtia3 for 2 channel? The SD-2 for $225 or SDA SRS2 for $400? These are the asking price. I will shoot for a lower price if they are worth it. Or, am I better off with the rtia3? The receiver will be a Yamaha RX-V1400. If i need an amp I will get one.

My vote would be the SDA SRS 2's harder to find and with a little more lower end but they will both be better then the 3's by a long shot IMO..

Think the Yamaha has the balls to power these? Also, what is a good price for the SDA's?

I think the Gimpod boards will work with the Pin/Blade SRS 2 but not the Blade/Blade (different drivers/crossovers) version. Either way, get the SRS 2.>

Cost? Is $400 to high?

Each speaker has at least $150 worth of drivers in them. The SRS 2 is one of the best 2-channel models. You could do worse.>

I would pay $400 as long as they are in good working order and look clean..
-
The SRS2s are worth every penny of $400 if clean and in working order.

Thanks.
Time to go deal. -
Sda2.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
