Help Identifying Vintage Polk Tower Speakers...
Hello,
Could someone please help me identify the Polk speaker model in the attached photo? The identification sticker on both speakers has fallen off at some point in storage. They were purchased around 1996. Although they still sound great after the dust was blown off, I would also be interested in your recommendation for possibly refurbishing this pair of speakers. In other words, what typically goes bad on Polk vintage speaker products?

Welcome to CP Zeigh!
Yes RT12s. Is there something wrong with them? I owned a pair of rt7s that sounded quite nice, never needed any work. The most common upgrade is the crossover, but I honestly don't know know if it would be worth it on those. If you have any blown drivers you will have to search for used replacement parts as they are not manufactured any longer. Otherwise, give 'em some decent power and enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for their help. Yup, the speakers are RT-12's and verified via physical measurements. Now, I would also be interested in your comments about placing these units on the sides (gasp!) and I started another post found here:
