Polk RTi 8 set up questions

Hey guys! Just ordered my first non HTIB set up! I ordered 2 Polk RTi8's. I already have a Klipsch sub and a Harman Kardon AVR 247 reciever. So my noob question.... Is it as simple as hook up left speaker to left channel and right to right? Is there anything else I should know or lookout for? Also, will I be ok running this w/ out a center channel. Before I had the Klipch quintet III. I am planning on building the system back with better speakers in time. Thanks in advance for an advise!!!
