Flat Speaker Wire recommendations

Hi guys, I will be mounting my surround speakers (Monitor 40s) to the wall (top corners of the room). So I'm looking at options to have discrete speaker cables.
Right now I'm considering using flat cables such as Taperwire or Ghost Wire. The walls are white and I think it wouldn't be too intrusive. Is this a good idea? Would you recommend some other way of doing it?
These Ghost Wires are at a descent price: http://sewelldirect.com/Sewell-Super-Flat-Adhesive-Speaker-Wire-18-AWG-2-Conductor-50-ft-Spool-White.asp
Otherwise these Taperwire could also do: http://sewelldirect.com/Taperwire-Super-Flat-Invisible-12-AWG-Speaker-Audio-Wire-2-Conductor-25-ft-Spool-Clear.asp
Any recommendation would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
- Olivier

Hello casius Olivier, I never used that exact wire but I have used flat cable and found it to be a good solution. Since the wire your looking at is 16 guage just dont try to set your surrounds more than 50 feet or so from your amplifier.
Have fun.

Thanks for the feedback.
The distance will be more along the lines of a maximum of 30 feet. That being said, I was thinking to use 14AWG wire I currently own to go around the room (hidden between the carpet and the wall) and then connect it to the 16AMG flatwire to go up the wall. Will going from 14 to 16AWG be a probelm? I've read one comment somewhere that it should be okay but wanted to get your opinion.
Thanks,

Well it would be OK but why not just leave it the same? How are you going to connect the wire together?
