I really wish they would stop coddling kids so much like this.
Make the rule state "excessive" or "blatantly taunting", not just "moved a finger in the wrong direction".

Inmates definately running the asylum now. This is a horrible travesty that should be fought by the kids and their coaches. Sounds like they are going to just sit down and shut up. What life lesson that is, and it is the wrong one in my book.

Football was fun till the "West Coast Offense" took over the league imo (Bill Walsh style). Little 5 yard passes every frickin' down, wtf....I miss the good ol' days of football when you could actually hit,tackle,celebrate,smack talk,etc. Now if you even breathe on the quarterback wrong it's a 15 yard penalty. Kickoffs are a joke as well. What made football football is long gone. Now it's just a bunch of overpaid whiny asses in uniforms collecting a paycheck. I miss the days when just watching Barry Sanders lose 15 yards was a sight to behold.

Why is everyone upset? It is all part of God's plan. The article said that according to the boy's father, he raised his fist to thank the Lord for helping him break through. But the Lord decided that this was prideful and that the boy should display humility. So the referee called the penalty and then the boy threw an interception. The Lord works in strange and mysterious ways. And this is all part of God's plan for him.

And another;
Don't people see?! God really wanted Blue Hills HS to win. So He "moved" the referee to throw the penalty flag on Owens's TD run. Then he used His omniscient power to have Owens throw the interception. It is all part of His grand, divine plan! Matt Owens and his father should accept it. There's actually a team with a losing record in a bowl game, UCLA. Sad.
