I fully support taking the taunting and poor-sportsmanship out of sports, but we've gone way too far as a society.

    You should have fun listening to Madonna at the half time show for the Super Bowl. You're gonna have so much fun.

    I really wish they would stop coddling kids so much like this.
    Make the rule state "excessive" or "blatantly taunting", not just "moved a finger in the wrong direction".

    In the time before we became a bunch of PC pansies the fear of a good a$$-whooping would of kept the people who make rules like this in check.

    Inmates definately running the asylum now. This is a horrible travesty that should be fought by the kids and their coaches. Sounds like they are going to just sit down and shut up. What life lesson that is, and it is the wrong one in my book.

    Go over to the nitwits at ESPN, and check out how MANY Bowl games there are now. It's PATHETIC! Teams with 6-6 records are in a bowl game?
    Ya gotta be sh*ttin' me?!
    All sports are a joke now. Period.
    I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

    Football was fun till the "West Coast Offense" took over the league imo (Bill Walsh style). Little 5 yard passes every frickin' down, wtf....I miss the good ol' days of football when you could actually hit,tackle,celebrate,smack talk,etc. Now if you even breathe on the quarterback wrong it's a 15 yard penalty. Kickoffs are a joke as well. What made football football is long gone. Now it's just a bunch of overpaid whiny asses in uniforms collecting a paycheck. I miss the days when just watching Barry Sanders lose 15 yards was a sight to behold.
    Everything matters. That is all.
    Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

    ZERO TOLERANCE EQUALS ZERO INTELLIGENCE; it's that simple. From a responder on the site.

    I like this response also;
    Why is everyone upset? It is all part of God's plan. The article said that according to the boy's father, he raised his fist to thank the Lord for helping him break through. But the Lord decided that this was prideful and that the boy should display humility. So the referee called the penalty and then the boy threw an interception. The Lord works in strange and mysterious ways. And this is all part of God's plan for him.

    And another;
    Don't people see?! God really wanted Blue Hills HS to win. So He "moved" the referee to throw the penalty flag on Owens's TD run. Then he used His omniscient power to have Owens throw the interception. It is all part of His grand, divine plan! Matt Owens and his father should accept it. If they do not, then they are blasphemers

    And this one too;
    SOOOOOOO if a receiver is wide open in the end zone he cannot raise his hand to let the Quarter Back know that he is open because that would draw attention to himself? OKAY THAT'S BANNAS

    This Country is going down fast. I feel for the phone walkers that will have to take over the ruins. I hope they can pay my social security but it isn't looking to good lately.
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

    There's actually a team with a losing record in a bowl game, UCLA. Sad.
