Why would I need to come home and go to sleep? There are TONS of things to do other than sleep or watch football, you should get out more often.

The only people that I'm hearing excited about the rematch are Alabama fans, the rest of the country (yes I'm generalizing there) wants to see someone different get a shot at LSU.

OK State losing to an unranked team was an anomality and everyone knows it. It was a matter of them looking ahead and losing focus on that game, that Iowa State game 'snuck' up on them. If they play again OK State blows them out. That game was not a good indication of how good they are or aren't. Alabama losing was a different story though, they went head to head with LSU, and lost. That game didn't sneak up on them, they didn't lose on some stupid call or some last minute freak 100 yard TD pass by LSU, they just ran up against a better team and lost.

There's a big difference in the losses by the two teams.

The ONLY reason that Alabama got in the game is because 'who the hell is Oklahoma State'? If that's Oklahoma in that exact same situation playing those same teams with those same scores and record then Oklahoma is in that game instead of Alabama, because...well they're Oklahoma.

I'm sorry but actually there are people that would rather see a re match other than me.

Yes they are called Alabama fans. They did not get it done the first time so they want a second chance. If they loose again they would still want a 3rd chance.

I said in an earlier post in a different thread, about the same subject, that I would like to see another LSU-BAMA matchup. I don't believe for a second that it will be anything lik ethe last game. It will still be a good defensive game, but, Saban will not be playing as conservative as he did last time. He had to do what he had to to get to where he is now.

I disagree with the poster that says that Stanford has a shot at a piece of the title. Baring a massive blowout by either LSU or Bama, no one else has a legitimate claim..these two teams are head and shoulders above everyone else. I am not an SEC fan, I'm a Louisville Cardinal fan and our biggest rival is an SEC team...we're always crying foul about them. However, they are far and away the best football conference hands down.

Teams don't really have a choice. the voters send them to the game. it's not what a team wants it's what the voters want. the Harris poll is how the BCS rankings are decided. they may have wanted another chance but they had no control.

Then write a book about why Oklahoma state didn't go to the national championship, and make sure you site that it was written on the 9th of January 2012.

that's too bad the cowboys can't play Iowa state again, but they can't. They lost to an UNRANKED TEAM. who cares if they "snuck up" on them? Do you think the voters gave a rat's **** about their excuses? Obviously not. game over, they lost. Alabama lost to NO. 1 UNDEFEATED LSU by 3 points. neither team made the end zone because of good defense. Defense wins championships and both teams have the best. Yeah, you're right there's a difference. If Oklahoma state hadn't gone into the iowa state game big headed and/or unfocused like they did and had an "off night" then they would've won by 40 or more but they didn't. If Weeden had played a better game they would've won, but they didn't.

lot of if's and butts and maybe's, that's good until you start saying things like "if they had done this" then i'm just thinking "oh great". well guess what, voters don't care that the Iowa state game "snuck" up on the cowboys because they lost.

Ya know the Tennessee game "snuck" up on Bama for a half... but Bama actually won that game. by 31 points. Voters obviously don't like teams like Oklahoma state because they give up 30 points every other week. If they liked that it'd be LSU vs. Oklahoma state, and guess what, nobody wants to see LSU blow out another flashy thing like they did Oregon and West Virginia.

The voters are coaches who don't have time to watch all the games and when it's close go on name recognition. That's the problem right there, the system is broken and the wrong people are voting.

I don't have a team. I don't have anything against Alabama or for ok state, but the system is broken and until they fix it I'm not going to support it.

College football is a joke with the current bowl system, plain and simple.

My biggest problem here is that I think LSU is getting a raw deal. They already went to Alabama and beat them. Now they have to do it again on a neutral site or they don't get a share of the title? That's crazy.

If Bama somehow goes in and destroys LSU I might change my mind, otherwise an Alabama win equals a split national champion in my opinion.

For the record, I'm a UT fan...and I like Alabama more than I like LSU, though I don't care for Saban.

Amen!! I'd much rather go back to the pre-BCS bowl system if a playoff is out of the question.

lol they're playing in New Orleans, it's not a neutral site hardly at all! it's like a home game. LSU fans have what a two hour drive to go?? bama fans have like 5. But... Alabama seems like they play better on the road, and since it isn't a home game there's no "comfort"... Like this: I play for Alabama, this week is a home game, I shouldn't have to play as hard as if it were a road game because we'll win anyway...

sometimes I think of road games like that. I think some teams try and play harder on the road. I mean Trent Richardson ran for 203 yards against Auburn at Auburn. He didn't score but he ran for 203, not sayin he will run for over 100 against LSU but he could.

I hope the super dome is packed full of LSU fans so Alabama will have to play to their fullest potential and try their hardest and be forced out of their shell. They will have something more to prove in this game because it's the national championship and it's very close to Baton Rouge. It should be a good game, I can't wait.

Is this still going on? Two things are clear. First, most people do not want to see a rematch. Second, most people think that OK State should have jumped 'Bama in the BCS rankings. Leave it at that. If you want to watch the game then watch it. If you don't then do something else. I'll watch some of it just to see how they're playing. I really don't give a rat's **** who wins.

Lol. I really really truly and honestly thought that the beating Oklahoma state put on Oklahoma would've jumped them above Bama since Bama didn't play that week.... I think Oklahoma beating Iowa state by 20 points kept them from it. idk

You should just watch the first half, or maybe even the middle two quarters, I have a feeling if Bama scores it'll be in the second and third quarters, and if some how if LSU gets worn out in the fourth.
