Just Recently bought monitor70 II for fronts with a psw505 sub & Cs2 and love it. I'm planning to buy another pair of M70 for my rears (5.1), would that be a good idea?(sorry im new). Btw they're connected to a Yamaha Rx v671 receiver.

I heard of people using towers for rear surrounds with great results if you have the room.If not, maybe some monitor 30's or 40's bookshelf's for the rear.Living Room Monitor 60's*CS2*FXi A6's*VSX 21txh*BD-P1590

Monitor 70's might be overkill for rears. If you want towers for rears go with the 50's. If not the monitor 30's or 40's should be just fine.Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.

Hell, if you got the money and the room, do it! I love my towers because of the full range sound they provide during music playback as well as the sonic impact that the full range rears give. On more than a few movies, my rear towers were creating some deep bass. Also, I don't like paying for speaker stands because the combined cost is often near what the tower speakers cost. Lastly, I don't like mounting speakers either.
Tower, put it on the floor, wire it up, toe it in, and listen.Fronts: Polk RTi A9

If you have towers up front, there is no problems having towers in the rear. Best way to have it IMHO.
