I have a CS275 and the left midwoofer crackles. I took it out and couldn't find any apparent damage. Any one have any ideas what might be wrong? Is it just a blown speaker?

Thanks!

Could be, could also be a bad connection. Check your cables, if your using bare wire connections, make sure the wire isn't touching another post, or use a different cable altogether and see how it sounds. Does it even crackle at low volumes ?

The connection is solid and clean. I've tried 3 different cables, bare wire connection and the non-banana type plugs. The crackle is heard best at low volume or with spoken word audio. I'm thinking it was something that happened during shipping but it was packed pretty well.

No, I bought it used. They guy I got it from said it was working fine before he shipped it. I guess I have some parts available...just have to post about 70 more posts so I can sell them in the Flea Market :-)
