Hello,
I am a newbie and require help in setting up Polk speakers and sub. I have 2 Polk Monitor 60 Series 2 speakers and Polk powered sub PSW10. I also bought a new Onkyo 609 receiver. I have connected the monitor 60 speakers to the receiver and the sub to the receiver. I am not sure if this is the right way to connect these speakers and sub.
Can someone please help me hooking up these speakers and sub properly to get best output. Please send me any link or steps to hook these correctly.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks....

Sounds right... have you tested it?
Ensure your Monitor 60's are hooked up to the receiver marked "Front L" and "Front R". This implies front speakers, left and right channel. As long as your sub is plugged into the "Sub-Out" on the back of your receiver, you may need to turn the gain or volume on the back of the sub to halfway. There may be a setting in the receiver's menu that allows you to turn on the sub channel if nothing emits from it when you turn it on.
Otherwise read your manual. Post back how it goes.

I have checked the connections and have done it the same way as mentioned. I see there are 2 set of outlets in the speakers and also the sub has a set of connections marked L and R, what are these connections for?

The Onkyo is supposed to be capable of running two subs. If your only running one sub the hook up the sub to the channel your owners manual recommends.
