    My Win 7 desktop opens any app in an instant. 8gb Ram, 3.8ghz overclocked AMD 965BE quad core, 128gb Crucial C300 SSD. I run Win7 in 64 bit and can't refer to it as "'slow".

    But if it can't do that on a Pentium 75mhz proc, it must be bloated!

    My 2003 Pentium4 3.0 Ghz is still running just like new as well. What's your point?

    Yep, my mother is still running an older Athlon XP 2500+ desktop system, and it works great with WinXP SP3 as well.

    Update installed 2meg memory, and Windows 7 32bit.... All is working ok now. Go figure.
