Bought one last night. Figured that it was worth a try. Heck, at that price it should be easy to sell later on CL if I don't like it.MAIN: Polk Lsi9s; Polk PSW505; Lsic (in box); Onkyo SR-875; Parasound 2250; Cambridge Audio 740C; LG BD370

Great price!

I bought one last night as well. The price drop came just as I'm building a new home theater system for my bonus room.
-
At that price, I'd buy two even if I was just considering one.

Just an FYI, it's only 179 right now on the Egg. Just my personal preference, but I'd almost just pay the extra 10 and buy it through them. Only dealing with one vendor, rather than getting it through a "marketplace"
Plus it helps in my case that I buy a crap ton of stuff from the egg (enough where they send me hats and shirts, crap like that out of the blue). It's nice to have all my receipts in the same place.
Gotta love this time of year.65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)

If you buy from Amazon you ARE only dealing with 1 vendor, Amazon, that's what 'ships from and sold by Amazon' means, so I don't get the marketplace comment. I like newEgg as well, but Amazon is cheaper and I get free 2 day shipping, and my experience 'dealing' with Amazon has been superb

Yeah, as long as it is an amazon product I guess there is no difference. Although, not everything on their site is actually sold by amazon. It's no different than someone setting up an ebay store, but on Amazon instead.
The reason for the marketplace comment, is that if something were to happen to your order - and it was not in fact sold by amazon, they do not assist in the resolution. It's buyer beware at that point. I guess it's like any other web transaction though. I'd buy a sub through B&H Photo's Amazon store, but I'd probably stay away from BassHeadz'r'Us (strictly fictitious in case there is such a thing..lol)65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)

The only problem with Newegg, which is not their fault, is they have to charge tax in CA, TN, and NJ. As long as you don't live in those states, you're good.MAIN: Polk Lsi9s; Polk PSW505; Lsic (in box); Onkyo SR-875; Parasound 2250; Cambridge Audio 740C; LG BD370

Darn, they went up to $220...oh well
Is the PSW505 discontinued or something? I don't see it on polkaudio.com anywhere. -
It is considered "Vintage" but I'm not sure how products get that term associated with them.

in a time period when Polk wasnt known for making good subs, that was a damn good sub. not earthshattering, not **** your flat hat....but a very solid performer.....at that price (even the 220) it's kind of a no brainer.Living Room 2 Channel -
