Slimming Down....Decision Help Needed

So I have recently sold my LSI25's since they don't "fit" the new house...(my wife may have typed that).

I am looking to replace them with either some decent bookshelf speakers or possibly a def tech sound bar. I am heavily considering the HSU HB1's with the matching center in a 3.1 setup, or the Def Tech Mythos SSA-50 sound bar. I know they are two distinctly different speakers, but each has their strengths.

Any opinions?

Awesome. Once you get a chance to give them a good listen, please consider throwing a quick review up here. I'm especially interested in how they compare to the LSi line.

In a similar boat, s**ks. Just curious. Why not just get some 9s and a sub (if you don't have one)? That's my plan.
MAIN: Polk Lsi9s; Polk PSW505; Lsic (in box); Onkyo SR-875; Parasound 2250; Cambridge Audio 740C; LG BD370

The reason I didn't do the 9's was; I wanted to also reduce the power requirements and sell my big amp, we will see. If these don't do the trick I might end up with the 9's.

Gotcha. Thought crossed my mind as well. But I decided that I enjoy the sound and the price is right these days since the new line is coming out. I guess the key is to not sell the amp (assuming you like it) until you're sure you don't need it. While the Lsis demand good power, a lot or speakers would still benefit from the additional power. Good luck!

I think you might call that 'dropping serious weight' not slimming down haha. Those TL3s look like a great little speaker, it will be fun to hear your opinions after going from TOTL floorstanders to TOTL satellites. Keep us posted!

I hope they will satisfy the need, it's going to be a tough shoe to fill. We will see...
