    Hey jagorski,

Check this one out, right in our very own Flea Market. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?126588-Cambridge-Audio-640A-V2-integrated-amplifier

It would be perfect for what you want.

I personally know the seller and will vouch for him.

You've gotten lots of good advice; however, you've never give a true budget. Knowing what you have to spend will help shape the advice given. Having said that, good used gear from a reputable source will bring you a better sound system at any budget level.

The Cambridge Audio integrated in F1's link is a great choice if it fits in your budget. If you can afford that, the LSi7's and a reasonable CD player, you'll have a nice first setup.

I was going to ask you what you plan on using for your source as well? I've owned every pair of speakers that have been listed on here I believe. I really like the lsi 7's and 9s. I prefer the bass on the rti speakers actually. The question about a subwoofer is really how much bass are you looking for? Also make sure you understand to look at rms and not peak power on amps to match your set up.

Don't buy LSI 7's they SUCK compared to the new LSIM 703's. At least thats what I've been reading as of late by these forum members.

Seeing as the LSiM 703s are in the $1500 range they are outside of the original posters budget.

I second/third the LSi7 recommendation rather than the Rtia3s. The Rtia's are nice for home theater but not so much for critical music listening.
