Is there any way to tell a visual differance between the 1.2 and 1.2tl's with or without grills removed? Do you think a Mac. 352 would be enough to power these speakers?

Thanks

    The 1.2 uses SL2000 or RD0194-1 tweeters, the 1.2TL uses SL3000 or RD0198-1 tweeters.

Yeah, that amp will drive them.

I think the sl-3000 tweeter is darker than the sl-2000 tweeter

You really need to get a look at the tweeters with the grilles off, but even then it may be tough if tweeters have been replaced.

Can you post images of the tweeters, crossover covers, binding posts and serial number plates?

It's tricky because I have 1.2tl's that don't have the TL on the back of them. If the tweets were changed ask if you could remove a tweet. The SL3000's have a fat and a thin connector that plugs in the back of the tweets. The Sl2000 are both thin connectors. My SRS 1.2's are also a much lighter oak color than 1.2tl's I used to own. Both of my 1.2tl's I own now are the walnut shade. Does anyone know when Polk changed shades of there oak color. My SRS 2's, 1.2's and CRS+'s are all the same light color oak. My old 1.2t's and current 3.1tl's are a darker shade of oak. Maybe that is one way to easily tell the 1.2 from the 1.2tl's.

Polk offered the light oak, medium oak and walnut on most of the SDA line, so that is not a way to tell the model.
