wires from terminal block to cone

I have noticed on other subs that the silver flexible wires theat connect the terminal block to cone sometimes slap the cone and cause clear distortion, allmost like the voice coil is hitting the back of the structure. has anyone had this problem with the sda drivers? i allways try to make shure there is clearance but was wondering if others have discovered this problem? I either bend the wires out of the way or resolder them so they have more clearance, i think i had this fault with one of my 6509 drivers.
There is no cure....

Never had this problem on any of my SDA's unless I was overdriving them. Cut back some on the volume and it should eliminate the issue. I would also check to see if the cabinets are sealed well. Loss of air pressure in the cab would cause excess excursion.

Can you post a photo? Also, you first mentioned "subs" and then 6.5" MW6509's; was that just as an example of what part could be the culprit?VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

It's not the wire leads, that driver is bad and should be replaced.Political Correctness'.........defined
