Problem with Elemental Design A2-250 subwoofer

This subwoofer fires down and I believe that the actual subwoofer is hitting the floor when it start kicking. It starts to produce a very rattly sound, I believe this to be the enclosure jumping off the ground, because when you push down on the subwoofer, it stops. Is there anything I can use to stop this? I've been told to get 1"x1" blocks of wood and put them under each spike. I don't really like the idea of that. I think it would be ugly.

I would get the subwoofer platform that ED sells...

It isolates the subwoofer from the floor and will help it from walking around :)

I'll look into that, but $60 is a bit much just for that pad.

There's no way that driver is hitting the floor, it's clipping. Where do you have the gain set?

The driver is not hitting the floor. If it goes away when you push down then the entire sub is walking across the floor. You will most likely need something like that platform or you can try adding weight to the top of the sub if you really want too.

It just being able to move so much air, it is exerting enough upward force to essentially pick up the subwoofer and move it, simple as that
