Would you watch a "X-Files" TV mini-series?

I began watching the TV series from the first episode and was totally hooked. Over the years, "The X-Files" has been quite influential on other TV shows. Nowadays, there're a number of TV shows on air that strongly suggest that influence, like "Fringe". So, would you watch a 2-3 episode mini-series of "The X-Files"? Of course, I'd like to see the original cast, with Chris Carter involved.

What do you think?

In the early days my wife and i would never miss an episode. After Mulder went bonkers or left or whatever happened to him it lost it's luster.
It should also be on HBO or SHO so we get Dana in some nude scenes.IMHO.

Huge fan here, but 9 seasons and 2 movies is enough. I think they could have gone on for 4-5 more years if Mulder had stayed.

Fringe is good, Supernatural was good too. Both have X-Files lineage in them.

No but with reasons. I'm probably the only person on the planet that missed the show during its run because I was too busy and I never caught a whole episode on syndication. I have seen bits and pieces here and there, including the first movie (wife has it), and although it was billed as created for everyone, I couldn't get into it so I never saw the whole thing. The glimpses I do remember seeing of a handful of episodes involved some guy smoking on nearly every one I ran across which wasn't very appealing.

I have contemplated picking up season one on Blu-ray. Until I see more and understand the dynamics of the show, I won't catch an X-Files mini-series but I would watch a guest appearance of Mulder and Scully on Fringe or Supernatural. That would be pretty cool.

QFT. The first three seasons are must-see material. After that it went kind of downhill, but there were still a few standalone episodes that really shined. In particular, the episodes titled "War of the Coprophages" and "Bad Blood" are my absolute favorite X-Files episodes. The fact that I remember the names of the episodes should testify to that. "Bad Blood" I think helped launch Luke Wilson's career.
