Subwoofer in Protection Mode?

Hi,

I have Pollk 6000 soundbar with wireless subwoofer. The subwoofer will not maintain a signal for more than a few minutes. The light starts out on solid green (working), then goes to flashing red (protection mode) within a few minutes. I have tried unpluging both soundbar and subwoofer; tried re-linking using link button on back of soundbar; using low volumes on both soundbar and subwoofer; and even tried moving subwoofer directly in front of soundbar, to back of room, different corner, etc. Still nothing works. What is causing the subwoofer to go into protection mode after a few minutes working normally? There are occasions when it will go into protection mode right away after turned on. The soundbar works fine. The unit is only 1 month old.

thank you!

I would guess that there is an internal fault with the amplifier or a shorted voice coil in the woofer.

Did you call Polk customer service? I would give them a call and see what they say.
