Connecting a PSW505 to a Yamaha R-S500 Receiver

The Yamaha R-S500 Receiver I just bought has a "Subwoofer Out" Port but the manual has very little information about this port (Amplified or not, Crossed over for only low frequency or not, etc...).
I am a newb when it comes to sub connections.
Should I just hook the Yamaha's Sub Out to the PSW505's LFE Port? If I do, what adjustments will I need to make on the Sub?
Note that this receiver has no "Small" or "Large" setting or any type of settings for the Subwoofer Out.
This is a 2 chanel receiver and I am running Monitor 70 II's as the Right and Left.
Thank you so much

Hello Automatox,
Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood all you need to do is run a shielded RCA cable from the receiver's sub-out to the LFE input on the Polk. The only adjustment, on the sub, is the volume setting to blend with the Monitor 70s. Probably the 9:00 or 10:00 o'clock position would be a good place to start.
It's a bit unusual for the receiver not to have some kind of set up menu where the sub-out function is turned on/off. Maybe check with Yamaha to be sure.
