A good friend of mine is selling a brand new LSi setup that he purchased but never got around to using. He intended on setting it up once he purchased a house but soon after buying one he and his wife had a baby. Now, they're welcoming baby #2 and he doesn't see getting a chance to use them any time soon. Instead of them just sitting in their boxes he'd rather sell them and let them get some good use. Here's what he has:

(2) LSi15
(2) LSi9
(2) LSi FX
(1) LSiC

All are brand new in Ebony. One LSi15 box and the LSiC box were opened to inspect but were never hooked up and were immediately put back into their boxes and taped shut.

Looking for $2100 for a local buyer. That's $300/speaker, which is absurd for brand new. Willing to drive up to 100 miles to meet halfway. He is located in Columbus, Ohio.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I can get you in touch with my friend.

Thanks for looking.

You did read the sticky, titled, " ******before-you-post-read-this****** ", right?
Selling gear "for a friend" doesn't count in this Flea Market. You, or your "friend" need to take direct responsibilty for the transaction. You should encourage them to join and participate prior to FM sales. There have been a couple bad transactions where the seller has washed his hands of it, since it wasn't "his" originally. Sorry Charlie, if the gear is that good, buy it and sell it under your name and assume responsibility.

Not trying to jump on you, but... that is what the rules state.

If he possesses the items and takes responsibility for the transaction it should be ok.

Sure, I'll take full responsibility. I think that was put in place to protect someone shipping speakers. This is going to be a face-to-face transaction. I will even be there for the deal. I've met with quite a few of the Polkies on here and I'm sure some will vouch for me. Right, guys?!?!

If I hadn't just ordered LSI15s, I would be all over that.

For anyone wondering, thats ~$400 less than the eBay (refurbished) prices from Polk.

Yep, a killer deal. I told him he could probably get more out of them but he just wants to move them and I think at this price they should move. Heck, I thought they'd be gone by now! Maybe tell some friends and loved ones. It will give them something else to give thanks for on Thursday

I'm kind of shocked their still available.

To hopefully help you move them a little faster, here are the eBay (Polk Refurbished prices):

    LSi15s $900
    LSiC $380
    LSi9s $550
    LSiFX $550

    ~$2380 (again, refurbished)

Not for a while. He would much rather meet in person and take care of everything at once and not have to deal with shipping and the potential for damage etc. I'm not trying to sound like a salesman but I can't believe these haven't sold. I almost bought them off him!

I have no idea why this got moved from the For Sale forum to the Speaker forum but whatever. Against my request my buddy Kenny said to drop the price down to $2000. This should be an easy sell to all the wives out there for a Christmas present
