I'm going to a Warren Hayes concert in Baltimore tonight. He played with the Dead, government Mule and many others. Live music is my inspiration for true stereo at home or in the car, or on my boat.

It'll be a good one! He's one of the best. Almost as good as seeing Leon Russell years ago in Key West on the water. Fantastic.

Probably most famous for his work with the Allmans.

Get the 2nd Set release of theirs if you don't have it:

    http://www.amazon.com/Evening-Allman-Brothers-Band-2nd/dp/B000002AX9

Excellent recording and SQ, excellent performance. The "Back Where it All Begins" contains some of the best soloing I've ever heard Warren do. I've seen him live with The Allmans, The Dead, Phil & Friends, Mule, and Panic.

He definitely gets around in the jam music seen!

BTW, I'm not a huge fan of his guitar playing, but I love his voice. That's the type thing you're either born with or you're not. Don't get me wrong, he can shred a guitar, it's just that his style is less progressive than I tend to gravitate towards.

Yes it should be a great show. I like the comment from previous poster who stated live music was inspiration. It surely is and I love to attend shows but rarely have a chance. Went to a music festival this year for 5 days with family and found Hanni El Khatib and Black Box Revelation to be some favorites. I would recommend Hanni El Khatib.......new entertainer but vinyl or download only.

Maybe we should start a "Best Show Ever Thread"?

I got a copy of Goverment Mule that a friend put on a Tdk Sa 90 cassette (sounds good to this day) dont know what it is but it's a live recording during a New Years Eve Show and it is awesome the Encore when they bring in the New Year Countdown is Sabbaths War Pigs, I bet it was an awesome show I wish I could of seen it, as far as Warren goes I like his new CD, which is what he is supporting, I bet you are going to enjoy yourself. I think as far as Live Recordings go UFO's Strangers in the Night is pretty darn impressive or Pat Travers Band Go For What You Know are my favorites not listening to them at this moment but just might put on UFO next Michael Schenkner is the Man.

Chumlie, I bow to that line up.

Advice: never ever pass up am chance to learn something new. Advice 2:

Never ever pass up a chance to hear something new. You can always quit, get better, or simply enjoy.
