Looks like from the owners manual there are two sets of pre-outs: 1 & 2.
Assuming you have #1 hooked up to a power amp, you could use the second set of outputs to drive a sub.

I have both pre outs going to two differnt amps . Can I split the rca cables somehow?

If your sub has high and low gain pass throughs just run your speaker wire through. The added benifit is it will take the low fq off the mains and let them focus on mid bass and mid to high range.

so take the floor speaker wire from the back of that speaker and extend it to the sub sitting next to that? And that will eliminate having to run a rca to sub/thanks

Lots of vague communication here. From your last post, it sounds like you are going to try to attach a length of speaker wire from your speaker and run directly from the speaker to the sub. Bad idea, if that is indeed what you meant. This could possibly lower the impedance on one of your amplifiers and damage it.
You said you have your Rotel hooked to two amps already. I'll assume you are bi-amping a set of speakers. In this configuration, the optimal method for adding a sub would be:
[Rotel preamp] ---RCA cable--- [Subwoofer RCA inputs]
[Subwoofer RCA outputs] ---RCA cable--- [Low frequency amp] ---speaker wire--- [speaker].

sorry i have a rotel rc 1070 wich has 2 sets of rca outs.1 goes to 1 amp wich powers 2 main floor speakers. the other set of rca goes to another amp wich powers a adcom speaker selector switch . ceiling speakers in 6 rooms. pre amp has no sub out rca.

Oh ok. Then basically you would just want to put your subwoofer between your Rotel preamp and your main amplifier via RCA cables. It would be like this:
[Rotel] ---RCA--- [subwoofer RCA inputs]
[subwoofer RCA outputs] ---RCA--- [amp for main speakers] ---speaker wire--- [main speakers].
But just to be sure, what is the model of subwoofer you are adding to the setup?

Then yes, the method I mentioned would be the preferred method.

I will need to use 2 10ft rca cords to go from pre amp to sub then back to main amp .Will that be a problem with the length? I like what you said about taking the load off the mains for the lows. If I used a rca splitter only the 2 main speakers would still be carrying the lows still ,right? With your way the sub filters out the lows

10ft RCA cables won't be a problem. The wife might not like the look of all those cables going everywhere, if that's a concern.
If you don't want to run cables that far, you could always go with the splitter method you mentioned instead, and you could make it work just fine. However, with this method the main speakers will indeed be carrying all of the lows they are capable of carrying, so you would need to adjust the crossover on your subwoofer so that you do not get a spike in your mid-bass response.
For example, if your main speakers can go down to 40 Hz +/- 3 dB, then you wouldn't want your sub duplicating sounds above 40 Hz.
If the sub handles the bass management, you have a lot more flexibility on where you can set the crossover, as it will filter out the lows from the main speakers. But either way can be made to sound great.
