Use them and they will break in. Simple, eh!

Take a hammer to each driver three hits is a good starting point for break-in maybe a small tap here or there to fine tune it!!

Welcome to Club Polk and enjoy the tunes!!

You have to put them in the freezer for approximately 42.3 hours then start out with volume on 1 for 24 hours a day for 3 days. Gradually increase volume every other day by 1. When you have completed the cycle with the volume at the 10 setting, gradually work your way back down the scale using the same method. Then you need to buy these magic dots....... Oh, F it, just listen to some music. They will break in on their own.

    Welcome to the community.

Use them normally as other have said. If you're going to really turn it up, the receiver may not be the best choice. It will audibly sound fatiguing.

Welcome to Club Polk taylormade1ca!

Congrats on your new 70s purchase!

As pointed out, "Break in" is a simple process of using them at normal level to let the new driver parts adapt to each other. As you use them, you will find they open up and simply get better after each and every usage. Your receiver should do for the time being but will definitely not reveal all of their musical ability so as money becomes avaiable a new AVR or amp should be in your future.

Turn them on and jam out for a few days to speed up the break in period. Or just use them as you normally would and they will break in in a relatively short period of time.
