Gaming PC

Probably a long shot here, but we'll give it a go.
In looking to further simplify I'm making the switch to consoles for gaming, I've had my PS3 for years and just picked up a 360. I've been an avid PC gamer for years (as stated many times on here) but I'm at the point now where I just don't feel like keeping up with all of it any longer. I'll miss the better graphics and tighter controls on the PC, but I'll get over it.
So here's what I've got for sale, I've included links to product pages on Amazon for reference. This is not a mid-line gaming PC, it's a high end rig built with quality components.
Case - Antec Twelve Hundred
Power Supply - Antec CP-850
Motherboard - Asus P8Z68-V Pro
CPU - Intel Core i5 2500K
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 with 2 fans in push-pull config
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1866
Video Card - eVGA GTX480
Sound Card - Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music
Hard Drive (SSD) - Intel X-25M 80GB
Hard Drive (Data) - 1TB Western Digital 'green' drive
This system is solid and will easily play anything out there at very detailed settings. The Z68 chipset that this thing runs on is a great chipset, you can read up on it if you want. It overclocks like a champ, runs easily at 4.2 without getting hot and without me even touching the voltages.
I lost the boxes for most of the components during our move in May, so I'm going to try to sell as a package, local pick up only first. If it doesn't move locally then I'll open up to shipping the whole system, and as a last resort I'll open up to shipping the components separately. Right now it's wiped clean with no OS, if you want me to install something we can talk.
$1000 for the whole deal, and if you're picking up locally (or willing to pay the extra shipping) I'll throw in a Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 speaker setup for free. My price seems fair, but if you can make a compelling argument that I should take less then I'll hear you out.

I forgot to mention, I'll also be tossing in all the games that I have physical media for. Most of my stuff is purchased through Steam these days, but there are a few decent titles I still have discs for. I don't know all those off-hand but I'll list them out when I get home tonight.

Very nice rig and a great price! Please PM me if it gets to the point you want to part it out, I'm interested in your SSD, and perhaps your mobo combo. GLWS!Living Room: Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-25 | Turntable: Technics SL-B200 | CD Player: Rotel RCD-955AX | Fronts: Polk RTiA3 | Center: Polk CSi A4 | Rears: Polk FXi3 | Sub: Velodyne DPS-10 | Cables: AudioQuest Type4 & TypeA
Office: Carver HR-742 | Speakers: RTi6 | Turntable: Numark 1600 -
I just built a system with similar specs. I'm able to run COD:MW3 @ 1280x1024 easily. If you decide to split any of the games then please let me know.

This thing will run MW3 at 1920x1200 cranked up easily. -
This machine will run pretty much anything out there on max settings, it's a beast.

I haven't tried higher settings, just the default. Sorry if I implied a limitation. Point is, one shouldn't have a problem playing a modern game on this rig.
I also use mine for video conversion. I used to use a laptop for this but over time the stress due to heat with increased CPU usage killed the laptop. It's better to use a desktop.
Finally, the SDD (for OS) and HD (data) is a great combo. Really makes the PC quite responsive. -
Sweet rig bro. GLWTS. Easily worth the price of admission and more.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

One bump on the whole package locally then I'll entertain other options.
-
Very nice, I've got a near identical setup in a Silverstone HTPC case (tight squeeze). Overkill for an HTPC but I use it for CAD and modelling at the house when I want to work from the recliner.
Again, a very nice machine, and highly upgradable. GLWS!!!design is where science and art break even. -
A couple quick updates:
- Price drop for local DFW polkies to $950
- I will ship this anywhere in the CONUS at the original asking price of $1000 and split shipping.
- I'm also going to list this locally on CL
If none of the above move it within a few days I'll open it up to parting everything out. -
I just realized I forgot to post up the list of games that I'll be throwing in as well, so here they are:
Call Of Duty 2
Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Painkiller
Painkiller Battle Out of Hell Expansion
Rainbow Six Vegas
Brothers In Arms - Road To Hill 30
STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl
Crysis
Bioshock
Medal Of Honor - Allied Assault
Soldier Of Fortune
Soldier Of Fortune II
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 -
I also forgot to include info on the optical drives in the OP, it has an LG Blu Ray burner and a Samsung DVD burner installed as well.
-
Price Drop - $900 locally if you don't want Klipsch surround speaker setup, as I can sell that separately for $100 or so.
-
First off, the $900 price option (without the speakers) is now open to everyone, I will split shipping. I will leave this option on the table for one more day, then starting Friday the following individual pricing options will be available.
Case and Power Supply (sold together because power supply is made specifically for this case) - $200
Motherboard - $175
CPU and cooler - $150
RAM - $50
Video Card - $225
Sound Card - $40
Intel SSD - $80
LG Blu Ray burner - $75
Samsung DVD Burner - $20
Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 speaker system - $100 -
I'm interested in the RAM and SSD when you are ready to sell. How old is the SSD; how much has it been used?
-
I want to say I've had that Intel drive for less than a year. It's basically been off most of that time, only crank the PC up when gaming, which has been less and less lately. If you're concerned about the lifespan I wouldn't worry about it, should still have several more years left even with heavy usage, you'll end up upgrading it long before the drive ever gets close to reaching its max read/write count.
-
Two things:
1. That is a SICK price on the SSD. I thought I got a hell of a deal back in March when I picked up my 80gb X-25 for $110.
2. What is the model of that BD burner? -
I'm not sure on the BD burner, all I know is it's an LG. I can check that when I tear the machine down over the weekend.
-
Let me know on Friday if you wish to sell the SSD and the RAM to me. Of course if you have someone that wants the whole rig or wants a MB, CPU, RAM, SSD combo then you are welcome to sell them instead. Otherwise I will purchase.
-
OK guys, sorry for the delay on getting this split up, been a busy weekend. I am going to tear down the machine tonight and figure out what all I do and don't have boxes for and post an updated list then.
-
OK guys, found the boxes for the motherboard, RAM, CPU, and Samsung SSD Drive. Note that I have added another SSD drive to the mix, the aforementioned Samsung drive, which is a bigger and slightly faster drive than the Intel SSD.
So here is the component list with updated prices:
Case and Power Supply - Antec Twelve Hundred with Antec CP-850 PS - $180
Motherboard - Asus P8Z68-V Pro - $170
CPU and cooler - Intel i5 2500K and CoolerMaster Hyper212 - $150
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB - $50
Video Card- eVGA GTX480 - $225
Sound Card - Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic - $40
OS Drive - Intel X-25M 80GB SSD - $75
OS Drive - Samsung SSD (470 Series 128 GB drive) - $150
Optical Drive - LG Blu Ray burner - $50
Optical Drive - Samsung DVD Burner - $20
Speakers - Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 speaker system - $120 -
I will keep these exclusive to CP for a day or so before before I move on to eBay or CL (speakers are already listed on CL)
-
AsSiMiLaTeD, turns out I need something different. I am passing on the memory and SSD.
Bump! -
OK, I've got a few things sold off and a few other listed on eBay, so for the most part I'll close this down.
Any of you locals though wanna make me an offer on the case and power supply, or the Klipsch speakers? I really don't wanna ship either of those, so I'm willing to take less than I'd like for those. -
Damnit I never seen the update. Do you still have the BD burner? You never got me a model. If so, interested.
