Have any of youse guys purchased a car key programmer ? I see there are some available for about $200 clams. I recently purchased a used vehicle for which I would like to make another key. I have gotten a few quotes and if I bought the programmer it would be a wash. Curious for your thoughts.

Some car keys must be programed by the dealer. It depends on how advanced of a key / car you have. I couldn't even find a lock smith that would be able to do my wife's volvo.AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808

What kind of car did you get, nap?
I got a 2010 Fusion. I have one key with integrated remote in/on the key. According to the owner's manual I would need two keys already programmed to be able to do anymore. Else, I need to take it to the dealer hence my dilemma.
