Even with the loss to LSU last week, Bama struggled against mississippi St missing more field goals, allowing one TD on a fluke from what it looked like. I haven't watched the recording yet but they had a good kickoff return then took 3 plays to score. still 7 points sounds better than 10 or 14. It also sounded like they played a passive, no-nonsense game this week. Glad they won. And Mississippi's defense who held LSU to 19 points showed up just like I thought it would. Dan Mullen is taking them places and I'm glad.

And do ya think Stanford might've been over rated? I mean 53 points? these guys that think Stanford would beat or slaughter LSU or Bama or really any SEC team at all for that matter are insane. Oregon already got throttled by LSU and I'm pretty sure Bama or any fair quality team could do the same. too bad certain conferences are tied into certain BCS bowls because I want to see the Luck try against the Good.

Everybody knows I'm a Bama fan, and I pull for anyone that plays Auburn. I will leave it at that... NOT! AUBURN SUCKS HAHAHAHAHA I HATE AUBURN!!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE IRON BOWL!!! Although I will admit they looked real good on their first drive, scoring that TD n' all, but come on, giving up 45 points? and all 140 yards of offense lol All those missing players from last year sure is showing a bit... just a little bit.

Congrats on the win. It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win. It was pretty obvious that both LSU and Bama where still beat up from their game the week before. I honestly felt like that would probably happen. On the Dawgs note, I honestly wasn't expecting them to beat Auburn like they did, but I sure will take it!

I heard it was an ugly game, I havne't had a chane to watch it yet. I love seeing Auburn (defending national champions) take such a beating, too bad it wasn't in Auburn, at least there they could've scored 10 points lol then Ga would've had to run up the score even more. I hope Bama runs it up like GA did. Georgia put a worse beating on them than LSU did!

oh yeah, and Boise State lost, unfortunately, I was hoping Bama would have a good shot at them, since they may not play in the NC this year they could've at least shut the Boise st. fans that think "since we beat Georgia Bama doesn't have a chance in hell!! ever!! hahaha", too bad we'll never find out, but I would like to.

If Oklahoma State goes down, which is very possible, Bama has a clear shot at LSU again, unless they get knocked off in the SEC championship. I would love to see an all SEC national championship. The past 4 years have proven that nobody else deserves a shot, especially those chumps from the WAC and MAC . .

Very true. I still wanted to see boise and bama play in a bowl game just so it'd prove Boise is a fraud. they lost to freaking TCU! Just like the 07' Hawaii team, oh yeah they can beat the little buy by 60 but they lost to Ga in their bowl game by 31 points. I think people like to live in denial just bc they like their team so much, they have no class, even though they end up feeling like idiots when the SEC team wins big.

and we saw stanford play the ONLY ranked team on their schedule all year and what happened? they lost by 23 points and gave up another 53, 48 to USC? overrated by a mile!

You still might get your wish. Auburn is ALWAYS up to play Alabama. Not to mention that if Arkansas can beat LSU then Alabama will have to play in the SEC Championship game and could lose to Georgia.

I'm sorta wishing they'd put them together, but ya if an NC is there and Bama plays for it of course that's what I'd rather them win haha. just so long as another SEC team wins it I'm good. Are you an Arkansas fan?

Sorry to crush your dream but I don't see the Cowboys lose to Sooners, so there you go, your Tide will miss the big game and deservedly so due to a so-so rookie quarterback and a horrible kicker. You really think you can actually beat the Tigers with such mediocre passing and kicking games? It would be an ugly loss again.

    Yes it does.

And you must've missed the game. Bama had four opportunities to make the end zone when LSU might've had one the whole game. Bama's Defense will stuff LSU if they play again just like they did the first time. I don't care if they did lose, they gave up 9 points, and if they can score that the first time they might score 10 the second, Bama will rebound from stupid mistakes and not have to kick field goals. Next time watch the game, it is very evident that you didn't.

A so-so rookie QB isn't much of a problem when you have the best running back in college football, not to mention the best defense. And it was hardly an ugly loss. Sucky kickers lose games to inferior teams - read Boise St. vs. TCU. I'll hapily put Bama, LSU, or Arkansas up against any non SEC "powerhouse" and I'm pretty sure I know what the result would be. Oh wait, that's happened in the last several national championship games

Evidently you're quite bias about your team. It doesn't matter how many opportunities your team got during a game, it matters how they turn those opportunities into points. Your Tide's quarterback can hardly move the ball, it's the defense's interceptions and Trent Richardson's running (especially the one right before Maze threw the interception) that helped your team move the ball. Then your team's weakness were exposed with McCarron's inexperience and Foster's incompetence. So they deservedly lost the game. I wouldn't miss the game which was labeled "Game of the decade." I bet you did because of your biased view.

I disagree about labeling Alabama's defense as the best defense. They couldn't hold LSU offense when it matters most, during OT, while LSU defense was able to sack Alabama's quarterback at the right time. So LSU defense got to be #1 in my book.

Then you won't mind telling me who you pull for. If not all you're doing is whining that your team isn't worth a cuss at all and has probably lost, will lose, is going to lose again. I just guessed houston, good for them they score over 70 points but their defense is completely non-existent what's the point of having a team at all?

your pure blooded bias and hatred towards Alabama shows greatly, you hate Alabama for no reason. typical, I got news for, in 2009, looks like Alabama messed with Texas to me.

I'm glad Bama's defense doesn't look stupid every week like every other team in the country giving up so many points, offense doesn't win championships, defense does and your team must not have one. and thank goodness LSU's defense could sack Bama's QB, they're both evenly matched so I would hope they didn't look to retarded missing that opportunity.

and sweetheart, i did watch the game, I don't miss games called "the game of the decade" either.

My Dawgs did not run it up on AU. As a matter of fact, Mark Richt throttled back the offense.

I didn't mean for it to sound like I was saying they ran up the score, although I wish they had, I know Ga and Richt better than that. I know he won't run up the score, although their running back in the third quarter made it look like they were trying to score even though they were running on every play lol that's just how awful Auburn is. Can't wait for the Iron Bowl, I hope Auburn fans chant "where's cam when ya need him!" this year.

Is that how you will turn your argument into, a personal attack? Grow up! I presented a point of view against your wish of seeing Bama playing LSU again this season, you either find more convincing facts to prove your point or shut up, just don't turn into a punk who tries to stop a debate by personal attacks.
The truth is I don't have any favorite team in college football because I don't like college football, period. It's just too many bad players against a handful of good ones, so I don't care much about the quality. About the Houston Cougars, they play like a high school team, and they look like a high school team, so there's no need to associate them as my favorite.
Like I said, you can dream on about your Tide making it to the big game, but it ain't gonna happen, not this season. Your Tide lost to LSU, AT HOME, in an ugly game. Enough said. If OK State somehow loses to OK, I'd rather see Oregon replaying LSU than another ugly lost for the Tide

Alabama outplayed LSU in every facet of the game, except field goal kicking. It could have easily been an easy win had Bama hit a few more of their 6 attempted field goals. I hope OK State wins out so there's no argument over would should play in the big game. The fact is, LSU is a much better team than OK State and they scored 40 points in an easy win over Oregon. Unless Georgia does something amazing, LSU will grab another title for the SEC . . can you say 6 in a row? I just don't see how Bama's loss to LSU was "ugly", making them non deserving of a championship berth and somehow Oregon giving up 40 points to a defensive team doesn't matter.

If you can't stand the painful truth that your Bama won't be in the big game this season, then it's your problem. You're the one that showed rudeness by falling into personal attack mode, not mine. So I guess the 08' Florida Ole Miss wasn't bad enough for you? Ole miss was unranked and won by a point, LSU is ranked no. 1, Bama was no. 2 and lost by 3. Yeah, you made up "facts" so you'd have something to argue about, there's where your rudeness is. It's not a painful truth if Bama (there we again with the "if") does or doesn't play in the national championship. You still bash Bama why? because you don't want them to go to the national championship right? You don't care about football "period" like you said.

there really is no way you could've watched the game, You say McCarron is a bad QB yet his rating is top notch, go look it up, but you might not like what you see. he did 199 passing with 1 INT. Richardson ran for 89, that's fair against a top notch Defense isn't it.

Just Read domflane's comment. You must've turned the game off when you saw LSU punt and kick off.

Notice how he's only responding to you and not actually answering any of my questions, Sharpe . . he's definitely here to bash Alabama and argue. Come back when you can tell me how an overtime loss by three to the #1 team in the country is "ugly". Or maybe you're just a closet Auburn fan, and that's where the animosity comes from.

Auburn fans tend to do that a lot. so do your normal run in muck regular ol' Bama haters. He probably was an auburn fan after last year, then after then got slaughtered by Arkansas he gave up and is too ashamed of them. I'd be ashamed if my team got beat 45-7, 45-10, 38-14 too but I'm not going to hide who I pull for.

I am looking forward to a great offensive team play a great defensive team. The Sooners lost an embarrassing game to Texas Tech. I like the Sooners, born and breed... But in all honesty, they will get shredded by the big boys in SEC. However, I do hope OSU wins out, and they could showcase their offense against the SEC's defense. Will be a great game to watch. The BIG 12, and now the NFL, is a passing league.

I like OU good enough. Both teams you mention are good, these last weeks I don't understand how T Tech beat Ou though. I think they just got lucky, extremely lucky. since then they've scored 13 total points lol. and we know any SEC team can be thrown on, they just can't be run on again Bama and LSU. maybe lsu, they've given up some 100 yard rushing games but not Bama. it'd probably be the Big SEC team whoever wins that one power run game against the fly it high big 12 offense. OR Akransas could go and it'd be a massive shootout lol two high powered passing games right there.
