    Thanks, man!

I would like to add, and you can tell by the pics, that each pair of speakers has mirror-matched veneer. Pretty cool...

Falcon, any chance you can compare the dipoles to any of Polk's similar offerings?

I've never heard any of Polk's dipoles. These things are sweet though. They definitely "make" the 5.1, or 7.1, or whatever.

They get down to 60hz easy, which is pretty low for a surround, and definitely lower than needed for surround duty. I like that they are symmetrical and have (2) 6's and (2) tweeters firing in both directions.

I have mounting hardware for them, but they'll work on a table or whatever as well.

Thanks, pepman! That's part of the reason I don't need a bunch of HT stuff.. I've dedicated the majority of my space to the 2-channel rig. My HT space, if you want to call it that, is half the size of my 2-channel space. I could have set it up the other way around... but, for me, right now, 2-channel is king.

Thanks! Not replacing them. 2-channel is my focus now, so I'm selling a bunch a stuff to get one pair of "dream" 2-channel speakers.

Well, Paul, if, I was going to split them up, if being the operative word, those bookies would be the ones to go, to leave for a traditional 5 channel out of the rest. If that happens, you'll be the first to know.

I had the same speakers several years ago, except the R3. I still have the 2.1s doing LR/RR duty in my home theater. They are really beautiful speakers.
