This is almost to good to be true, this is the buy I just made off a Craigslist ad. All Technics gear except for the speakers. (1) 2Track 1500 Reel (2) SH 9020 Meter Unit (3) SE 9060 Amp (4) SH 9010 Eq (5)SU 9070 Pre (6) ST 9038 Tuner (7) SL 1310 MK-3 Turntable and a pair of Altec Model 19's. I'm not going to say what the price was because you'll think I'm making this up. Take a look at these speakers.

Very nice how do they sound?

Damn you are lucky! Aren't you the same dude what was given those big Tannoy's a while back?
Post some pics of the other gear. I love that vintage stuff.--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -
Lucky I are! Yes I'm the dude that had the Tannoys given to me. I keep finding great stuff, I picked up a Thorens TD-124 for under a $100 not long ago. I hope my luck doesn't run out.

Still waiting for the pic of the AR turntable
Nice find! I wish I was in the WilkesBarre area

Awesome score there, great to see all the crazy stuff that pops up on craigslist. Was it someone liquidating their audio collection? In any event, awesome speakers. The layout reminds me of a shorter square klipschorn.
I bet they sound amazing -
Some feel that the Nineteen is the ultimate expression of the A7/Valencia/Voice of the Theatre, at least for domestic use. Some, in fairness, don't. But it is fair to say that Nineteens do not suck.

Well I'm glad they don't SUCK, I'm gust kidding. I don't plan on keeping them, but I couldn't walk away from them at the price that was offered. I see people paying some real money for these, I'll use that for some more tube gear.

As I am sure you know, that Technics R2R is quite sought after - always was, intrinsically... but the Tape Project's sort of put 'em on the map.
www.tapeproject.com
The only "Technics" R2R here is a sad case :-( for better or worse, I don't have the heart to euthanize her (she was given to me by a local hifi buff), but she's kind of just taking up space downstairs. She runs, but she's not quite right - and she's not cosmetically up to snuff, either.
-
The R2R is a tank and in very nice condition. I got 12 reels of music with it, not sure what to do with this piece. I'm a little afraid of this thing, I've never used one before. What's your thoughts on the amp, pre and tuner?
-
Pretty good, I think. Is that the dark colored (charcoal grey), slim-line rack mount stuff?
-
Yes it is, called the pro line?
-
Thanks mhardy for the info on the Tape Projects, I had no idea that my new R2R was that well thought of. It makes this an even better find.
-
Thanks again to mhardy for pointing me to the "Tape Projects" I wouldn't have known about this R2R. This makes my great find even better.
