Hell all,my first post. I currently have a Yamaha RX-V870 driving a pair of Advent Prodigy 2's. No sub,or center. Obviously would like to upgrade. Also have a Pioneer PD-M500 CD player hooked up. Living room is approx. 14'X14'.
Fair amount of furniture (wifey),and carpeted.
Was all set to order the LSi-15's, then saw on Slickdeals the 2-15's, 1-LSiC, & LSi-FX, Bic PL-200, for about 1500 (can't remember exact price but that's close). Great deal!
So, instead of ordering right then I kept reading the forum. Now I'm very interested in the new LSiM-703's. I can't decide which would be best for my situation. I know i'll have to buy seperate amp for the 703's, and OK with it.
I don't know if would make a diff., or not, but I have no high range hearing.
Oh, this is almost 100% music listening. Thx all,Joe

I havn't heard either one but from what i read on these posts the 703s are far superior. Check speakers thread. Hope that helps.

Welcome to Club Polk mara5!

Now the Lsi line towers never appealed much to me however, many happy users on here. Some to consider is with the new line (LsiM that is) good deals could be had on the on the old Lsi line. Try get some demo somewhere in your area to see if they are for you.

I haven't had the opportunity to demo any of the LsiM products yet but the new line is definitely appealing. Yet comments and reviews on the LsiM703 are mostly positive. Make sure you keep track of Mantis review thread of the 703 and fire pertinent questions at him. If you have any demo opportunity in your area, you should take advantage of such as years will be your best advice on which product is most suitable to you personally.

    Cheers!

You would need a separate amp for the LSi15s more than you would need it for the LSiM703s

    Welcome

You will need separate amplification no matter which LSI speakers series you get.
