Saw a local craigslist ad for a pair of LS90s and a CS350ls for 500.00. Seller says great condition. Pix look good. Not heard either speaker. Info?

I thought 500 seemed steep too, but he is adding the center as well. Seems like a nice center.

If you are buying or did buy these LS 90's......$400 w/center is a good deal. Add, vibrapods (28lb each) with large TipToes Cones in a tri-figuration (two up front/one in back) underneath Speakers for resonance control......via tube or solid state and listen to these baby's sing! LS's with CS350 center is worth it. I am enjoying 2xLS70's, 2xLS90's, and 2xCS350LS's. Powerful combo.

Having two centers like that with the tweeters firing not in the same plane vertically would cause some issues, wouldn't it?Main Surround -

Better to stack the centers? I'm running a single CS-400 and it handles everything I throw at it,lol. Someone should offer the seller $350 and see if he'll take it.

I don't notice any echoing. The reason I added the second center was to provide more saturation to voice in movies. It did that well, behind a second subwoofer, I would say this provides the best net gain to my audio setup. -
It won't echo, it'll have phase issues. No coherent point-source.Main Surround -

I'm a big fan of LS90s. Great sound, about as much low end as you'd even need when powered correctly. The highs can get a little harsh if your equiptment is prone to bright sound, but a cable/amp change can probably tame most problems. I'd say that $500 is the top of the price range for the LS90s+CS350. Did you end up getting them or passing?

I passed. Was just curious as to their sound. I have a pair or RTi12s and while I love them for HT, I only like them for music. I am probably 70-30 music. I am keeping my RTA8Ts, because I love their sound and have had them forever. I can keep experimenting with speakers knowing I have them to fall back on.

Nothing out of phase. Both speakers run off the same amp. To my ear it just sounds like one huge center channel.
