Projector Demo's

2012 upgrade will be a larger TV for the HT. The current Sony SXRD RP still has an incredible picture, but would like to increase screen size. I'm struggling with the chioce of flat screen or front projection. I can see flat screens at quite a few stores in the Chicago area, but projectors set ups are not as easy to come by. I have been researching Epson 8350 and 8700, JVC RS series and Sony. The drawback to front projection for my set up is that its a multi-purpose room. Pics are in the System Showcase. A light(s) are on quite often on for playing pool, reading, etc while the TV is on. If we're watching a bluray movie, all lights are off. So projector and matching screen would be critical for this environment. Max screen size I could fit on the front wall would be 92".
So that bring me to my question - Those of you that are in the Chicago area, perferably the northwest suburbs, is anyone interested/comfortable with providing me a demo of their front projection set up? Especially if you have a set up in a multi-use room like mine. I am very sensitive to the whole "stranger in the house" thing so I understand if there's no interest. If your interested, please PM me and we can discuss details. Thanks

Have you checked your local Best Buy w/Magnolia? Most seem to have the new Sony HW-30ES and perhaps the Sharp DLP projectors setup for demo.
If you do decide to go the front projector route I would suggest becoming a member over at AVS and buying through them for a nice discount.
Both Epson's are good, as is the Sony mentioned above. Stay away from the JVC RS 40/50/60 as they have major CMS and exploding lamp issues. -
You can use a black diamond and that will give you the plasma with the lights on but the price is outrageous. Get a elite hc gray screen for bright enviroments . I have gray and can easily read a magazine with some lights on with a 120" plasma effect with the epson so you go no worries for brightness there bud

If lights are going to be on I'd go with a nice plasma. Look at the Panasonic 65vt30 or a nice led like the new 70" elite.
