lsi fx the shape and purpose.
Hey all,
i just read the LSIfx manual but still have some questions about those type of speakers.
first one is the shape, what does the trapezoid shape do versus the box shape of a lsi 7?
does this style of speaker hold any major advantages over speaker like the lsi 7?
I am new to this idea and style of speaker, the lsi fx, i have heard many of you praise them.
i have always known just to have speakers in all positions is fine enough, hence why in my monitor setup i have the 40's on surround duty.
I am curious to what advantages the style of, lsi fx, can bring to the HT experience. your experiences are needed.
has anyone modded the XOs on these bad boys lsi fx, would love a link to the thread or your own photos would help.
thank you in advance.

The idea is to have sound coming out of both sides of the speaker. You dont want a square box other wise the sound would be parallel to the wall. This makes it more imersive. That way you cant pin point the location of the speaker by ear. Then you have the BiPole / DiPole option. Bi pole has the two sides in phase. Dipole has them out of phase. They can be switched back and fourth by a flip of a switch.AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808
