Ideas for Polk Monitor 10 grills?

Hi everyone,

A while back I picked up (locally) a pair of Monitor 10As (peerless) in very good condition. Except that they were sans grills.

As you know, I'm not an expert DIY-er, but I do want to put something over these babies, so I'm open to suggestions on what materials to use and how to proceed in order to fashion a couple of decent grills.

Any ideas are welcome--we do have the requisite Hardware stores near at hand (in fact my local store--3-4 blocks away will actually cut pieces for me if I give them specs). Speaking of specs, does anyone have those for M-10 grills per chance? (I figure that I 'do' have a staple gun and stretching fabric over the frame shouldn't be that difficult, even for a novice like yours truly).

Thanks!

The frames on my monitor 10s are one and a half inches wide by one half inch thick. Have your hardware store cut you the pieces for you glue them up, cover with fabric. Hope this helps.

Buy some on ebay. They come up from time to time.

I have some monitor 10 grilles. If they're the right size, they're yours for the cost of shipping.

That's a very generous offer! Thanks!

I'd certainly pay whatever shipping and packing might be involved, BD!

I'll PM by tomorrow...need to take some measurements and look at the speakers again?

Thanks for the dimensions Ofds! And ebay...you'd think that would have crossed my mind. But it seems that Big Dawg may have just what I need.

I think my grilles came off a monitor 10b with sl2000. They're packed away right now, but I'll pull them out to check them tonight.
