looking to expand my skills

Hey forum,

As most of you know, i rebuilt XO's for my monitors, they are working great and burning in nicely.

now what i want to do is expand my skills to solder and desolder on the trace boards that come with speakers and i would like to learn to deal with the epoxy that comes one them too.

so if any of you have junk XOs or small junk electronics to donate to the cause let me know.

the point of all this is, sometime in the near future, i really welcome the chance to replace some caps, resistors and possibly inductors for you fine folks. also would like to practice component placement too. proper procedure and practice is key here before i go asking for the heart of your speakers to mod.

any and all advice is also welcome too. like how to deal with epoxy.
good solder wicks/braids.
i have seen people stack caps right on top of inductors, even the pros, there is no worry of interference? why?
and other small points, that are of importance.

thank you all in advance for your wisdom.
