Had to go to the Dr. today cause things haven't been going to well lately (will spare you the details). Got put on some Antibiotics and some other stuff. Hopefully that clears things up otherwise when I go back next Wends if things aren't better I am looking at some more tests to determine if I have a possible infection.

Wouldn't be that big a deal except the meds I am on for my current disease (Crohns) kills my immune system. Not sure how this is gonna play out.

So basically if you remember send some prayers my way.

Now back to your regularly scheduled cable debates

Pimples go away ES....it just takes time. Adult acne strikes millions each year and while the pain is visible, the scars hard to repair, the afflicted always triumph over adversity.

Just trying to add some humor and you've been thru worse already obviously, so tough it out. Be well dude, Polkies pimp slap infections.

NICE MARK! I like that lol.... yeah the "stuff" they put me on was proactive.....I just didnt have the balls to say it LOL........ jk...

Yeah at the end of the day it is what it is. Its one thing if something I did that caused this, but that isnt the case.

All I can do is work to pay the bills, see where this leads us.

My only hope is whatever it is doesnt affect my trip to Chattanooga AGAIN. Last year the surgery killed my Thanksgiving trip and the day itself (was LOVING my liquid diet while my wife chowed down on turkey, stuffing, etc).

Plus there is always someone out there with a worse situation.

I am living with Crohns, not dying from it. If you take that stance then everything else is cake.

When I was diagnosed (in my early teens) I was going to a pediatric dr @ a pretty big children's hospital (Riley), and honestly just couldn't feel bad for myself when sitting next to kids much younger than me that were dying of cancer and the like.

Ender, being a fellow Crohn's sufferer/survivor I understand totally about the immune system stuff. I also know the early winter flare up and infections stuff. Happens to me almost every year. And being on an immune suppressant like I am the infections can be quite mean.

My only advice and I wish I listened more often to myself would be: REST, REST, REST. That is it. I know when I get run down I flare up and infections come when your fighting the flares even if you don't know your flaring. And certain meds make it worse so please take time to rest.

If you don't mind me asking, What are you taking? I am on Humira and hand on heart the stuff has been a God send. I have tried pretty much everything out there (Seriously) except Tysabri and Cimzia. And only one of them I would try. So let me know I might be able to help or if you just need to vent some time.

Is it common to flare in early winter? I haven't ever run across that, though my mom mentioned when I was younger I tended to have that happen (I forget its as its been a long long time) when I talked to her last night.

Rest has been what I have been doing. I believe some of it may be due to working 60+ hours a week for the last month give or take. I have been resting up as much as possible and doing as little as possible (the wife loves that part )

Got switched to Humira last year before the wedding and its the reason this year (up to this point) has been so good. I still had to have surgery last November as by the time I got on Humira that section of my gut was too far gone to heal, but otherwise I have felt much much better than I was on Purenithol.

We might play with my dosage and go from every 2 weeks to every week but we havent made that decision yet.

Yeah, if it turns out to be what they think it might be, it wont be fun, but right now I am still in the dont have a clue, must do more testing phase.

I switched to weekly doses of Humira about two years ago. That was really the boost I needed to feel immensely better.

I remember reading about your surgery. I have had my share and prefer no surgery if it can be avoided, but like you my Crohn's was to far along for the meds to fix things beforehand.

I am sending a PM to you.
