MIT Cables S3 through out
Polk 1.2's with upgrade tweeters no mods
infinity Kappa 9's
Carver silver 7t's
Polk sub-woofer 505
Adcom Pre-amp 750 very very good condition
and more,I want to sell everything at one time... low price of $8,000 (thinking about selling right now) is this a good price? I'm on hard times right now.... if I do sell,I will be crying my eyes out...I work so hard to get it. I'll just have to go over to Rt1's house to listen to his stuff....

I would suggest you list prices for each item individually and also list your location, if your willing to ship (and if prices include shipping), if there is a break for local pickup or buying more than one item. I also suggest creating one thread per item for sale to make who wants what easier.
You also might want to list more information on the gear, did you do any mod's, is it stock, 1st owner, no smoking/kids/pets, purcahse dates on the items etc.
Pictures would also be a very good plus for you, as I doubt anyone will drop 8k on everything without more info and pics.
Sucks your possibly selling all your gear, thats some nice stuff from your list."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
It sucks having to sell your gear, but if it means keeping a roof over your head and food on the table then you have to just do it. It can all be replaced in the future. I would list things separately and I would be interested in some MIT S3 i/c cables if you are going to have to sell.

Selling it as a package deal won't work.

Thanks heiney9,I think I met you at polk fest 08... thanks for the advice...
Yes we did meet. I hate to see this, but the reality is times are tough and gear can be replaced. I can tell you if I had to part with my gear I'd be upset as well.

I hate to see anyone forced to sell gear....but as has been said, the package deal won't work and 8K is patently absurd.

Yes sir!!! LOL!! I didn't even see your post..I would rather you get them anyway as you have more of a need then I.. -
Put me down for the Adcom
-
Damn!...
I go for lunch to come back and find two things for sale that I would be interested in. However, the story associated with this is sad. I'm very sorry to hear of your troubles and wish you all the best whatever that may be to ensure a speedy recovery back on your feet. -
Just keep your very favorite piece and sell the rest. All of it can be replaced and when you're back in the black, rebuild it even better. Don't sweat the small stuff man.
MarkCTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Not sure how close you live to me (I'm in Wisconsin), or if you have back-up equipment, but if you don't, and need to borrow some equipment to get you through this tough time after you sell yours, just tell me.
I have lots of extra stuff, not to the level of your primary system, but you are welcome to use it to help get you through this toughtime. It will likely help to have a system to listen to music on since that is what most of us do here to relax.
Not sure what your situation is that forces you to sell, but I wish you the best.Norh ACA-2B tube pre, Sumo Andromeda SS amp. Magneplanar MMG speakers, M&K MX1250 Subwoofer, Pro-Ject RM1.3 Genie TT with Sumiko Pearl MM cart., Keces DAC, Cambridge Audio Azur 640c CD player -

Just for future reference, anyone who "might be selling" would be well advised to post in the "Clubhouse" Forum instead of in the "Classifieds" Forum.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

If you have 8K invested, I'd say you overpaid....but that's just me. I don't think I have that in my entire Quad rig.
What Mark said bears repeating, keep one thing that you really dig and sell the rest. In the end, it's just stuff which can be replaced. I also think that this whole post is better off someplace else unless said items are actually for sale. Otherwise, it seems to be to be just a fishing expedition.
Good luck,
