Are there any WASP fans around here? Alot of people probably don't realize it but they put out Babylon in 2009 that kicks serious ****. Before that was Dominator which also rocked. Blackie keeps on kicking them out. They gave up on the blatent sexual lyrics and no more meat on stage man (for better or worse).

We recently had a thread about top metal albums of all time, and I would have to nominate The Crimson Idol into that mix. That probably has some of the best drumming on any album period. Anyway I know we have a lot of metal heads here so thought I would share. You can pick up used copies of both of these on the cheap and well worth a listen.

Among the dumbest frontman names of all time, Blackie Lawless right??? ....classic 80's metal for sure. I'd have thought he was dead by now.

Here's one from Dominator, which is also an incredible album. Blackie: "The title is from a quote from American President Abraham Lincoln when he saw the casualty reports from the battle of Gettysburg, and after reading that he said, 'Tonight the Heaven's are hung in black.' So I took that idea and I wrote it from a point of view of a U.S. soldier in Iraq who's on the verge of dying and he's standing at the Gates of Heaven but St. Peter tells him that because of all the fighting that has been taking place, they have no more room in Heaven, and that he must come back some other time. So based on that understand that the verses are St. Peter talking, and the chorus is the soldier
