I bought a Panasonic Plasma a couple years ago after some research and like it a lot, however I need to buy a 50" again and thought someone here might point me to the best 2 or 3 at the best price.

Thanks in advance.

I'm a Sony only fan but that Panasonic is a pretty nice deal.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I've had such good luck with numerous Panasonic products over the years, and my 50" and 58" Panasonic Plasma's over the past 3 that I'd buy them again.

The GT is a couple hundred more but not worth it compared to the ST30 IMHO, and I didn't think the VT series this year came in 50"??

Well, when I was buying my G series a year ago, we put G20, VT25, S20 and G10. The difference between S and G was ridiculous, so IMHO it's worth the difference. Couldn't afford to jump to VT.

    .

Grif is right the VT series didn't come in a 50" this year. The VT series is only on 55" and 65".

I also have to agree with Viper, I just bought the 60" GT panny. There was a difference, that was easily seen, between the ST60 & GT30. I paid the extra $'s for the GT. The VT had a great picture and was superior to the GT. I considered dropping down in size to the VT55, but when the decision was the size of the 60" looked better on the wall. It also was right at the budget point of $2K.

Just for your notes on what comes with the TV's:
    - The VT series comes with one pair of glasses
    - The GT series comes with the wireless dongle included.

If your going 3D, the panny glasses seem to be the most expensive. Don't forget to add them into your budget. Also, Panasonic just started the bundle pricing which is essentially a free BDT110 3D BluRay player.

The bundle for the ST 50" model is - BD50S-110 ($900 or so). The bundle for the GT 50" model is BD50G-110 ($1200 or so)

Well yes last year there was a huge difference between the S and G series not even close. Just like there is this year the GT blows away the S series but that's not what were are comparing this year. ST is even better then the S series from this year!

The only real difference between the ST and GT is the GT has slightly deeper blacks as reported by D-nice! So I guess it's up to the person if they think they can see the difference for the $200 price upgrade. I for one didn't see a difference between the to TV's.

ST and GT both have the same exact glass and AR Filter. VT has a better AR Filter

But the GT is a better looking TV over the ST for sure (appearance wise)

Anything minus Samsung. Seems many users are having some sort of power supply issue with some model Samsung displays. I'm a Panasonic plasma fan, my 60" looks kicka$$ in the living room .

+1. Got me a VT30 and love it. Only complaint I have with Samsung is their clouding issues with their LCD/LED
displays. Sony is also added to my list of great TVs but the resend bleeding issues turned me off.

The TC-P50ST30 is only $30 more and is a much better TV then the S30, plus the ST30 comes with a Free 3D Blu Ray player.

No brainer IMHO to pay the extra $30 for the better TV and a Free 3D Blu-Ray player..

The price has dropped for the TC-P50ST30 from $899 to $828 and still includes the free player. Great Deal!
