Well you kind of need to set a budget. I would go with the RTI A's for the whole system. You want your front 3 (L,C,R) to be powered by the same source, and be the same series of speakers. That way voices dont change they way they sound when they move across the front of the room.

Maybe build up the front 3 speakers and continue to use the small satalite speakers for surrounds until you have some more cash.

RTI A5's towers for the front, and a CSI A4 center channel. Then later on a pair of FXI A4's for surrounds.

    Here is polks ebay page.

Is that really necassary to get rid of my vintage speakers, they probably rock more hard then new towers. I was going to replace them with polk towers couple weeks ago, then i changed my mind. Right now i dont hear anything wrong with my front stage...

I wish i could hear bookshelf compared to satellites for surrounds, im on a small island so no dealers here.

If i change my fronts id go with lsi15 towers

You can try book shelfs but when you run a miss matched center voice will sound different when it moves across the front sound stage. If your going to swap your towers for LSI's then I would be looking at a LSI center channel. That way your not wasting money on the RTI series. The most direct path to your end goal is going to be the cheapest route.

I been debating on getting the lsi15's with the lsi center, yamaha said I can run all 3 front on 4 ohm but I also been debating on getting a external amp connected to pre outs for the 3 front in 4 ohm. Then id have extra channels on my yamaha for presence speakers...

Would there be a world of difference if I got rid of my vintage technic speakers and made a matching 3 speaker configuration for my front stage?

Ok im going to run all polk, im replacing my 2 technics and my polk rm6700 satellite system with :
Running off a Yamaha A2000 AVR

    Emotiva UPA-2
    Polk Lsi 15's
    Polk LsiC
    Polk FXI A4(Surround and Rear)

Will those fxi-a4 have a major difference replacing my small satellites?
Im looking at roughly a $2600.00 bill to upgrade, is this worth it hmmmm.... I always find reasons to spend money..

Yes it will be worth it. However, You should put the FXI's on the back burner & get an Emotiva XPA-3 or 5 amp instead. The UPA won't give the LSI's the power they need to operate to their full potential.

Once that is in place, save money to get matching LSI rear speakers.

I dont plan to play the lsi 15s very loud, my house is small, mostly for home theatre, full potential meaning louder?

No! Full potential means that you will have greater clarity, more distinction in vocals, instruments & dialog especially at lower volume. This is by far the best improvement that comes with adding a powerful amp.

I never expected this improvement when I originally added a Parasound 1500A 205wpc amp to my system, but one I heard the difference, I know that I will never go back to just a receiver, and I will never have less then 200wpc driving all of my speakers.

I got the amp because I originally wanted to upgrade to the LSI 15s, but was told my Denon couldn't handle them, so I got the amp. My speakers had never sounded better, and I have yet to upgrade my 21 year old RTA-8Ts to something new.

Parasound makes great gear. However, you should be looking at at least 200wpc @ 8ohms. The more power you have at 8 is the more power you will have at 4ohms which is what the LSI's are. They need as much power as you can give them & still want more.

It's going to cost you more money up front for a 200wpc 5 channel amp up front, but you will be all set for years to come through any other changes to your speakers.

So continue to save money, and haunt Audiogon for a good deal. I stalked them for over a year waiting for my current amp. I finally scored one for 1100.00!

Do it once, do it right, sit back & enjoy for years. Keep us posted.
