Hi, I can comment on Monster 2600 ,Ps Audio Quintet and Ps Audio's Soloist Premier se in-wall line conditioner. I'll start with the Monster which I used for about 6 years and had every thing except the amp plugged into it, cleaned up things well both video and audio and ran on the cool side of things in terms of sound quality with a little compression most likely due to the captive cord. Next up is the Quintet which cleaned up things even more ( video and audio) and really let the music flow without compression and yeilded some pure highs, great mids and deep bass, Being able to change from the stock cord to an aftermarket pc has a huge effect on overall performance and is highly recommened. To finish things off the Soloist for the amp was the icing on the cake as you first want to do no harm to current flow and the soloist performed this task in spades. having said all the above I'd get 2 or 3 dedicated 10 to 12 awg 20 amp dedicated lines first if possible then taclke line conditioners! All in all I could be happier with my power setup:mrgreen:

    Hey Playback,
    thanks for your input.
What kind of power cords are you using?

Anybody have a Shunyata Hydra 2? Opinions about this one?
I was contemplating a Hydra 2 with a Copperhead 20AMP cord(from the wall to the Hydra).

I finally settled on the Shunyata guardian for my rig...pretty much the same as the Hydra. I have used some very demanding amplifiers with it and it has stayed. Shunyata is a leader in power management, I would also look at Running Springs products.

APC H10 or H15 take you a long, long way toward power with a noise free "black" background if you are on a budget.

Exact Power makes some extremely good gear and I have an older EP15A that has been replaced essentially by this . . . http://exactpower.com/products/epwsc15r/epwsc15r.aspx. Highly recommended!

PS Audio and Shunyata also have a big following here. I have some Shunyata Power Cables I absolutely love.

I just purchased a H15 and personally I love it. I find it fun to see what makes the voltages drop in my apartment. For instance I discovered that the voltage drops when my washing machine or dryer are on, or when I am running the vaccumn. Other than those instances I am pretty stable. However we have had frequent power blips on and off and it makes me happy to know I am totally protected from those with this.

I plan on getting another one once I get a better 2 channel system in years to come.

If Voltage Regulation doesn't matter much to you (which personally I think it should to just about everyone) the Belkin P60 is another great conditioner and its cheaper than the H15, BUT it doesn't have voltage regulation

I use all Ps Audio Perfectwave cables AC12 on Halo A21, AC10 to the Quintet, AC5 on an Oppo 95, AC3 on an Anthem avm 20, and AC3 on an Anthem Mca30 amp.

I like PS Audio and my bro, RT1 likes Shunyata. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

I had mixed thoughts about the PS Audio Quintet. Sometimes I felt it that it was improving the sound, other times I felt it detracted from the sound and other times neutral.

I got a Running Springs Haley and there was no question that it improved everything about my listening experience. I considered it to be a significant upgrade. I plug my amp into it too. If you haven't done so already, you MUST upgrade the cheap stock power receptacle. I'm using a Porter Port receptacle now and I was very impressed with how much this inexpensive upgrade benefited my system.
